Reviving the Legend: Nissan's 2024 Frontier Hardbody Edition
In 2024, Nissan is bringing back a blast from the past with
the Frontier Hardbody Edition, a truck that pays homage to the iconic Hardbody
from the '80s and '90s. The anticipation was palpable when Nissan teased this
retro-inspired gem earlier this month, and now we have the full scoop on what's
in store.
Picture this: a pickup truck that oozes nostalgia, looking
strikingly similar to the Project Hardbody concept that wowed audiences at the
2022 Chicago auto show. It's a visual throwback that stays true to its roots,
with its striking red paint job and iconic 17-inch wheels reminiscent of its
forebear.
While the original teaser showcased the rugged BFGoodrich
All-Terrain T/A KO2 tires, they've been replaced with a more subdued set of
Hankook Dynapro AT2 all-terrain tires. But fear not, the visual cues that make
this throwback edition special remain intact. The black overfenders, front skid
plate, and distinctive decals all contribute to its unique charm. There's even
a sport bar behind the cab, though it lacks the dazzling lights seen on the
concept version.
Now, for the price tag – you can snag this piece of
automotive history on the SV Crew Cab 4x4 trim for a base price of $38,205. To
go all-in on the Hardbody Edition, just add the $3,890 package, and you'll be
looking at a starting price of $42,095.
But that's not all the news from Nissan in 2024. They've
also introduced the SL trim for crew-cab models, tailored for those who
prioritize comfort. This swanky trim comes equipped with LED lighting,
leather-appointed seating, and a top-notch 10-speaker Fender audio system. The
SL starts at $40,975, while the base S trim is a budget-friendly option,
starting at just $31,105. So, whether you're chasing nostalgia or seeking
modern comforts, Nissan has you covered with their 2024 Frontier lineup.
